At our traditional brewery in Düsseldorf’s Altstadt (old town), you can experience Düsseldorf’s brewing and drinking culture in its most original form – with our Original Schlüssel beer, brewed on site and served fresh by a Köbes (traditional Rhineland waiter). We are the only brewery that still draws beer from traditional 100 litre wooden barrels.

Our menus
Our Köbes waiters serve hearty and honest dishes that are deeply rooted in Rhenish cuisine. In addition to classics such as schnitzel and sauerbraten, we like to surprise you with seasonal highlights and creative new interpretations.
All our dishes are prepared with fresh, local ingredients from the surrounding area, so that you can enjoy meals with the best quality and genuine flavour.
Our tip:
For a bite to eat during your lunch break, we offer a different dish for €9.90 every weekday between 11.30 am and 3 pm.

Beer garden

With large parasols and comfortable wooden benches, our garden is a great spot to hang out – the perfect place to unwind with a delicious Original Schlüssel beer.
