How a special moment turned into a friendship
Many years ago, it all began with the Düsseldorf Evening in Tokyo – a special event where city, trade fair, and country celebrated and nurtured the connection between the two cities. There, Original Schlüssel became the perfect ambassador, bringing a piece of Düsseldorf’s Old Town to Tokyo. From these encounters, a unique bond has formed between two cities that could hardly be more different, yet share the same appreciation for great beer and vibrant culinary culture.
Entering Japan with an Experienced Partner
With World Liquor Importers Co., Ltd., we have gained an experienced partner who, as the official and first authorized importer of our Original Schlüssel beer, has made its market launch in Japan possible in February 2026.
This collaboration forms the basis for Original Schlüssel’s presence in the Japanese restaurant scene. We look forward to continuing this journey together and establishing our brewing culture there for the long term.
