Stike season – twice a year

We are delighted to invite you to toast with us at the Original Schlüssel Stike evening on 16 October 2024 at Hausbrauerei Zum Schlüssel.

Our Original Schlüssel Stike beer is a speciality that we only brew twice a year. During production, we use more malt and hops, which results in a higher original gravity and an alcohol content of 6%. After an extended maturing time, we have a full-bodied strong beer. In keeping with tradition, this unique beer is brewed and served every year in March and October, offering our guests an exceptional taste experience.

The recipe dates back to an old tradition whereby monks brewed a stronger Altbier during Lent. Despite the abbot’s prohibition, they brewed it secretly to fortify themselves. In keeping with this tradition, we can’t resist the temptation and brew the delicious original Schlüssel Stike twice a year according to the old recipe!
